JOB TITLE: High School Head Soccer Coach
Position Summary: The Varsity Soccer Head Coach is responsible for implementing and initiating various aspects of the High School Soccer program regarding recruitment, scheduling, and coaching team members.
Requirements and Experience: The Varsity Head Coach must be CHSAA certified and abide by all CHSAA rules, and CPR/First Aid certified. Must comply and pass Aurora Public School requirements for finger printing and background check. At least one year of previous coaching experience at a similar competitive level is preferred.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assumes responsibilities for entire High School Soccer Program, including both H.S. Girls and Boys.
- Schedules practices and training session with the approval of the Athletic Director, and communicates the schedule to the Athletic Department.
- Arranges and communicates travel for games.
- Recruits student athletes and establishes a full team, both Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys teams, before the start of the season.
- Evaluates player skills and assigns team positions accordingly.
- Manages and maintains soccer equipment and uniforms.
- Attends all required department meetings, events, and fundraisers (must attend a minimum of 4 athletic fundraising events, 3 of which must be Bronco’s games).
- Fulfills all administrative tasks including student communication, parent communication, and scheduling necessary parent meetings (there must be at least three parent meetings scheduled throughout the season).
- Represents LSE and the H.S. Soccer program in a professional manner.
- Promotes the development of the H.S. Soccer Program by encouraging student and parent participation.
- Verifies student athlete physical examination requirements, parent permission slips, and payment of required athletic fee.
- Supervises athlete behavior, grades, and Eligibility.
Reports to: LSE Athletic Director
Pay: Payment will range between $2000.00 and $3000.00 to be paid at the end of the season if all listed responsibilities and duties have been fulfilled, as determined by the Athletic Director. |
